If only I could turn into a Phoenix

Sometimes I sit down and fantasize about random nothings. Like what would the world be like with no Moon? Would we still have NASA? Aswell as why do Snakes and Mongooses not enjoy each other's company? Did one kill another's Family? But the greatest question I ask myself is Why can't I turn into a Phoenix?

What law of physics tells me that I can't turn into a phoenix? That I can not sprout majestic feathers. That I am not represented by the element of fire and burn upon my demise just to return to live. Be able to soar through the skies at beautiful speeds. Ashes follow my lead as I make the perfect cycle of life and death. But it is mostly only day dreams.

Lost Boys "Found"

The Lost Boys of Sudan were boys, many under the age of 9 who were orphaned and stranded during the Second Sudanese Civil War. The boys were taken and endured heavy abuse and strife facing the challenges of surviving the conditions they were placed in. Many of them died on their way through and a small percentage was able to escape to the U.S.

Now as the War ended on 2005, though some tribal fights and angst still emerges. The Lost Boys find their way back to their families or contribute back to their home of Sudan. Using useful skills they learned in their travels and lives outside of Sudan. Though emotional scars and trauma still resides from what they experience just as children.

The pain these kids had to go through can outdo the trivial pain anyone can feel. They were beaten, abused, emotionally destroyed, put through grusome and inhumane treatment instead of the love, nurturing, and compassion that they should've received. Thoguh noone can change the past it is strongly believed their future needs to be adjusted for the better.

Bad Acting

Since the beginning of time the world has seem some bad actors, and I mean people who've slaughtered the craft of Acting. They step infront of a screen basicly reading their lines in a unprepared monotone that is drasticly hindering to the ears. They are to me Z list actors who "Crept" their way to the top, and explore the word crept to your hearts content. A lot of actors have been doing this form of acting lately maybe because they think they should turn a Romance, Drama, or otherwise would be good movie into a god awful aborted racoon.

Talent Shows

A Talent show is a showcasing of various people's skills and traits that they feel should be praised. Over the course of a week I got swindled into choregraphing a dance for a group of people who are participating. I find it very difficult to do so because, I'm not that skills yet. But still everyday I got home, blast a Nicki Minaj song, hop on youtube and let my creativity do the rest. And when that doesn't work I turn off the music and search youtube some more.
But now I have a issue. Tommorow is the first day of Talent Show sign ups and I have nothing. I am thinking about just telling India, the girl who asked me to help her I can't do it. Though part of me views this as a shot to prove that I have what it takes to dance and even be called a dancer. So I still try like my dad always told me too. Though it is like fate itself is telling me to stop, first the report card, then the constant practices that end up ruined. But now I have to keep it up, and then even if I do accomplish my task, face my fear of an audience. Just gotta keep up with the 8 count in my head.

Egypt: The Downfall of a Tyrant

Egypt is byfar known for many things. Primarily for it's ancient history depicting Gods, Pharoahs, Queens, and Wars. It was seen as one of the greatest civilizations until it's downfall by the hands of the Roman Empire. But as of late Egypt has embarked on a revolution to bring down a uprising "Dictator" by the name of Ex-President Hosni Mubarak. He was called to step down from his position around Tuesday, January 25th and unlike a good president he refused

Though the big question from this is should America help? When America went through our own revolution we were backed by other European countries aswell as Native Americans in pursuit to gain freedom from Great Britain. Since then we seem to act colder to those  we have formerly held as allies. Personally I believe instead of helping countries like Irag and Afghanistan who do not want our help we should go and help Egypt who is fighting for what we thrive on, freedom.

Wouldn't our forefathers want us to help a country striken by poverty? A country rampant with Unemployment? A government of corruption that says it holds the title of a democracy but in reality is a tyrancy in disguise? I think personally that the man is wrong for removing so much freedom in order to hold a position he has no ability to manage. If he can't step up he should just stop it, stop it now.

Books v. E-books

Books are the oldest way to retain knowledge and the written word aswell as illustartion onto paper. The only other way is to keep knowledge mentally. But lately books have been replaced by the use of E-books. Digital copies of a book and literature decoded down into digital print and bytes. But which is  a more important and useful way of reading and recording knowledge.

Books are older than me and all my family. The texture and smell of a book can tell an entire fairy tale or story all on it's own. More than even the words written on the very flesh of the paper couldn't sum up what a single book has went through by time it reached you. The words on a page is only limited by how many trees that can be removed to supply the nutrition to feed the book so it may live. A physical supplies physical representation and physical recognition.

E-books do not focus on the physical only the visual. They are easy to maintain and keep together aswell as better for the enviroment. One kindle can carry hundreds of books inside. But there is no presence in an E-book. When you pick it up all you smell is plastic, the cold presence of it that filters the senses. Machines are easy to destroy aswell, if cracked in the wrong way your books are gone forever unless you retreive it.

In person I believe Books are the best format to store knowledge and information, leaving E-books as a back-up. For if there is no physical representation there is nothing for the words to have meaning behind it in any way.

Idols

Some people have parents or gaurdians who they look up to in their life. Though a lot of others look up to celebrities and other famous individuals in their life. Noone is hit harder by the downfall of a celebrity than the people who looked up to them as a Rolemodel and not just as a fan. It is sometimes as if in the eyes of the fan who idolized them.

My personal Idol is Adam Sevani. He is a Dancer and Actor from the popular Step Up film franchise. I became a fan since the debut of Step up 2. Since then I wanted to become a great dancer. I am most likely one of the only people to ever memorize names of dancers and watch  back-up dancers at work in music videos.

Every dance sequence I memorize and try to emulate perfectly, in order to hone my artistic craft in it.
